Civic Love

July 11, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 8:20 am

Event Navigation

Hi Neighbors,

Our July Civic Love coffee discussion will be an experiment in walking within the neighborhood and discussing our experiences.

We will convene at 8:00am at [freespace] for our usual Civic Circle, going around the group checking in on the last month and welcoming new members. By 8:15am, member Alex Darr, from Faithful Fools Ministry, will give us context and guidance for our mini-Street Retreat in the Tenderloin.

Please arrive by 8:00am for our circle and Alex’s advice on how to have a meaningful and safe experience as we “discover on the streets our common humanity.” At 8:20am we will walk independently in the Tenderloin.

At 9:10am, we will gather at the Faithful Fools headquarters at 234 Hyde Street (btw Turk + Eddy) for a conversation around what we have seen, heard and felt. We will have a short break at 9:30am for those who need to leave, but we plan to continue the conversation until 10am this month for those who can stay.

We want to thank Ben, Ilana + team at [freespace] for hosting us. We want to thank Alex and the Fools for hosting us as well. We want to thank each of you for contributing to our discussions and invite you to join our online discussion google group via our website  www.CivicLove.org
