Bikes are a prominent feature in the streets of San Francisco and in the hearts of its residents. Let’s decorate them, let’s speak through them, let’s make them our own and use them as metavehicles.

I have a mental image of a group of people making and trading bike spoke cards. We’d provide block printing supplies, glitter, markers, scissors, glue, cardboard and clear tape for lamination. Participants would bring whatever else excites them or would help them feel more comfortable (left handed scissors?)

We’d start with a little kick-off for everyone to introduce themselves, state their intent, and allow collaborations to form. We’d make cards for an hour. Everyone would be asked to make as many cards as there are participants. Then we’d have a debrief to show off the work and trade them around. If there are 22 participants, I would expect each person to leave with 22 cards to give friends, familiy and strangers! 2 hours total?
