With the advent of commodity hardware and software, its easier than ever to turn your new or old car into a fuel efficient and performant vehicle in your spare time. I am not a mechanic, just a hacker who is was able to teach himself how motors work and then how to control the fuel and spark timing with a cheap computer. I will go over the basics about how motors work and how I went about hacking mine with a hodge-podge of random parts.

I will be going over how internal combusition engines work, what a system like this entails, and I will also be bringing my injected 1973 BMW for show and tell.
