Permaculture is an ecological design system that guides us to work with nature to creatively integrate human and natural systems in ways that encourage abundance and sustainability. Let’s explore the core principles, ethics, process and strategies of applying permaculture design to your life. Topics we could cover include: theory and practice of ecological design, where and how to get started growing your own food in the city and design your site; how to capture, conserve and reuse water; energy supply and conservation strategies through appropriate technologies; ways to change waste into resources; and local resources to create social networks and creative activism. Let’s engage in group discussions , small group exercises and look at some images of permaculture design techniques and strategies in SF.
