[ freespace ] invites you to participate in a transportation focused hackathon happening from Saturday, June 22nd at 10 am to Sunday, June 23rd at 10 pm. The aim of the event is to develop solutions around transportation issues in San Francisco, including projects focused on bicycling, walking, public transportation, and parking management.

Saturday morning will start with talks from transportation luminaries before teams form around particular projects. Participants will have 36 hours to develop solutions before presentations Sunday evening. Winners will be judged by a panel of experts.

[ freespace ] is a new temporary community space focused on fostering creativity, community, and civic innovation through the gift of free space. The building is located at 1131 Mission St. between 7th and 8th.
