[freespace] is open from noon-8PM Tuesday – Friday and noon-5PM Saturday and Sunday, closed on Monday. Come by anytime and use the space to unleash your creativity!

Youth Design Part II

+ personal decision making

+ standing out against the crowd / not being a bystander

+ a chance to have fun

 

older students learn:

+ build upon ideas / ideate

+ construct an actual prototype that will be tested

+ how an idea about superheroes can be expanded to impact students’ lives

10:00 – older kids arrive – introductions / ice breaker game for new+returning kids
10:15 – charlie and mary share – how they came up with idea / what it was meant to accomplish
10:30 – LEARN – kids build out this portion
11:30 – STORY – kids build out this portion
12:30 – CREATE – kids build out this portion
13:30 – PLAY – kids build out this portion
14:30 – younger kids arrive and participate in the workshop
16:30 – younger kids leave
