Destroying Dichotomies

June 19, 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

A discussion led by Stanford PhD Candidate in Sociology, Ali Fogarty (www.ackfogarty.com). In our society, sex, gender, and sexuality are all socially constructed binary categories. We will explore these constructions and come to see sex, gender, and sexuality as natural fluid continuums, offering a colorful range of unique, beautiful expressions that is often tragically stifled and suffocated.

This event is held at [freespace], a month-long experiment to cultivate civic hacks. It is hosted in a 14,000 square foot warehouse in San Francisco’s Central Market District. Through the gift of temporary, underutilized physical space, [freespace] fosters creativity, community and civic innovation. Learn more about [freespace] at http://freespace.io/
